Happy 11th Birthday Haley

Haley turned 11 years old on Tuesday and we're still in shock.  She has a big year in front of her.  Haley is in her final year of elementary school and her last year of primary at church.  Most of the time she and Laura are referred to as one of the "little girls".  This is not something she is fond of.  Being the youngest is not her favorite thing and being the only one in elementary school doesn't help.

On her birthday, Haley had the day off of school, got her room decorated and when we got home from work she was "decorated" too.  Krystal put make up on her, did her hair and put a happy birthday crown on her head.

Haley definitely loved the attention and feeling older.  Krystal asked if she was now allowed to wear make up to school and both dad and I said, NO.  We're hoping for at least a couple more years before that happens.

Overall it was a great birthday filled with horses:  she got a stuffed horse, two horse books, some clothes and a pink ipod. To finish the celebration she had an icecream cake (only after it was put in the freezer by mistake) an amazing chocolate cake.  I think she is still surprised by the ipod but very happy to be celebrating the first birthday of the year in our house!

 Happy Birthday, Haley......we love you!

ROAD TRIP July 2009

Halloween 2009

Found an old picture of the kids in 2003. Thought it would be a fun way to see how much they've grown. Pretty soon I'll be lucky if they'll take a picture for me! 3 out of 5 pumpkins made it to the porch! David carved way too much and it sort of fell apart. (why it is on his head) Haley tripped on the front porch and the pumpkin flew to its end. While comforting Haley something happened to Reid's pumpkin and it ended up in 2 peices. We're just happy we got to carve pumpkins this year!
