Elder David Coke is turning 20 years old

Monday November 18 will be the first time I have ever spent one of my children's birthdays away from them. It will be ok because he has people to celebrate with and there is a senior missionary couple that will be making him chicken enchiladas for dinner. The family sent some great videos with birthday wishes so I put this video together for him. He also got a package with a cookie cake and some gifts. Hope he loves it and remembers that he is doing the right thing and is loved so much!

We were able to spend 4th of July with most of our Colorado family then headed over to Calhan for the fireworks.

Trek 2013

This summer we were able to be Pa and Ma on the East Stake Youth Trek. It was an amazing experience and we had a great family! We had a total of 9 kids in our family 4 boys and 5 girls.

Krystal got to go for the second time since she went with North Stake a couple of years ago before we moved. That made her a youth leader for the trip. Laura was also able to go but was in a different family. She had Pa and Ma Carroll and loved them!

Krystals 2013 prom & graduations

Krystal and Joey went to Pine Creeks Prom. She looked beautiful and they had a wonderful time. There was about 10 other couples that all went together.

This is her seminary graduation with some of the other kids in our ward.

She had graduation day on May 25, 2013 from Falcon HS. She was a trooper leaving the school she had attended since freshman year and moving her senior year.

No more braces

January 2011 Krystal got her braces on....February 2013 she finally was able to get them off. She hasn't stopped long enough for me to get a picture and loves her new smile!

Here after a soccer game Krystal and Jordyn are flashing their pretty smiles and modeling masks. How great it is to be young and fun!

January 2011 Laura started her second phase of ortho and she looks so young in this picture. She had over 2 years prior to braces being put on oral surgeries and expanders.

March of this year she was able to get her braces off. She couldn't stop giggling and smiling. It's been just over 2 years but seems she has changed from a little girl to a young woman.

We will enjoy not heading to the Ortho for a while until and if we find out Haley needs braces.

Flying High

Mike started his flying classes last week and after the courses are over he will have the first part complete of getting his pilot license for small planes.

As you can see the plane isn't very big but fits 4 people. Not my favorite kind of plane but he was so excited to get to go up in the air. He was able to go up and just thought he would be a passenger while the instructor flew.

He was able to fly for about an hour kind of like a new driver with a permit. He was schooled in all the gauges and the only part he didn't do was landing and taking off. Happy Anniversary even if it took 6 months to cash it in!

Haley's 12th birthday

Haley turned 12 on January 3rd this year. That means that she is now officially in Young Women with her sisters. Think that is what she was most excited about this year.

She had a home made cake for her "real" birthday and for her party she picked a cake from the store.

She had cousins and friends come to share the special day with her. It was great to have the basement finished and able to keep everyone down there.

The girls played get to know Haley games, ate pizza and had a lot of soda. Haley had some wonderful presents and was excited to have everyone come over and share her special day. The girls loved guessing her favorite colors, animals and hobbies. They even had a word puzzle search that had to find her favorites.

A lot of guesses of where she was born. We even had one guess Europe. It was a ton of fun and a day she'll remember for a long time.

October, November, December 2012

Since I haven't blogged in a while I will put a potpurri of pictures for the end of the year. Most likely not in order. The end of the year was very eventful as it usually is in the Coke Household. We welcome 2 babies, a new nephew, birthdays, band concerts, holidays and sent our missionary off.

Sweet little Cannon was born on October 24 he is such a blessing to our family.

He is mello and my surrogate David while he is away.

One thing we were able to do was attend a Romney Campaign with the kids and one thing that was great was our next door neighbor and a lot of other friends were there too.

Seeing Mitt and Ann speak was awesome!

Thanksgiving dessert for the kids....a lot of work but fun to make!
