This Saturday we started our weekend at Territory Days. It was HOT and the kids weren't as into it as I thought they would be. There were some people dressed as old time pioneers. This picture is of a blacksmith showing how they use to weld in the old days.

When we were leaving David said, "oh deer". We weren't sure what he was talking about but three deer came down the hill across the road. One didn't scare at all and just watched as the other two ran away.
We couldn't go out of town since Laura was advancing to young women. Plus the highlight of the weekend (not really) I had to give a talk in Sacrament. Mike and the kids were making bets on when I would start crying. We were able to BBQ with family after church to finish off the day.

Monday we were able to use our season passes at Elitch Gardens. The water was a perfect place to be and we all had so much fun. Only dad and Laura braved the heat to ride some coasters.

This is a picture of Dad and Reid braving the Edge. We've all tried it one time or another.....and NO it isn't worth it.

After the fun filled weekend it was back to school and work. Only two more days of school but when most other districts out over a week ago it was hard to come back. We are so excited to begin summer and all the adventures planned before school starts again. My favorite thing about summer.....sleeping in past 5:20 am. Oh how easy it is to sleep in 'til 6:30 am. The worries about summer kids have so much time on their hands. Good thing for summer camps, band camps, summer schools and volunteer work!
We decided to head up to one of our favorite spots near Divide. Tubes were the perfect way to cool off. Cool off we did, the water was freezing....but fun. All the white shirts ended up stained even after spray n wash and multiple washes. But it was well worth it.

That looks like a PERFECT weekend! All that water with the heat of the weekend...nice! I love these days with my babes around my knees, but I am also looking forward to the days you are in when the boys are old enough to really do some things we just can't do with the little ones!
