Last couple of weeks

We have been doing a lot of things to the house lately. Most recently last week Mike decided that we needed to divide the basement. Instead of a large rec room and the bedroom he put up "temporary walls" that look real to me and divided the boys living space. So know everyone has there own space and can shut a door if they need to. The inside of the rooms are done but we have to finish the hallway side by texturing and painting.

As if the basement wasn't enough we have been planning on refinishing the hardwood floors. We are lucky enough that Mike has three of his best buddies own companies that do this. So they all graciously came over this weekend and started tearing things up. Everything from the living room, dining room and kitchen were in the family room. It wasn't as messy as I thought it would be and I love how they turned out.

One of the things we did while we were staying clear of the house was get the girls haircuts. Haley is rocking the short dew and Laura went in for a bang trim came out with 7 less inches of hair. They both look so cute with their low maintenance style.
Earlier in the week Krystal was finally able to get her drivers permit. She has been so excited and ready to start driving. Not so sure we are ready but watch out world because here she comes. I truly mean "watch out"! j/k The best thing she has learned the past couple of weeks is to NOT argue with her teachers and slow down when making a turn!
I love her picture even though she isn't so excited about it. I told her that no one likes their picture on the ID. She isn't to the age where she has to fib about her weight but she did try to make herself taller. Even the lady at the DMV stopped and looked at her. Doesn't she look cute?

  1. Hey, why don't you and your crew come to my house - we have plenty of work to be done here !! Thanks for the warning about Krystal, we'll keep to the sidewalks (though they may not be safe either) Ha Ha!!

ROAD TRIP July 2009

Halloween 2009

Found an old picture of the kids in 2003. Thought it would be a fun way to see how much they've grown. Pretty soon I'll be lucky if they'll take a picture for me! 3 out of 5 pumpkins made it to the porch! David carved way too much and it sort of fell apart. (why it is on his head) Haley tripped on the front porch and the pumpkin flew to its end. While comforting Haley something happened to Reid's pumpkin and it ended up in 2 peices. We're just happy we got to carve pumpkins this year!
