With three girls in soccer, dance festival and all the end of school year going on it has been a little hectic. The boys may have felt a little neglected as we have been running from one game to another. Seems like at least one of the kids have been on restriction for the last 2 months.

But as David came up to our room after a band concert Tuesday night I was so surprised to see some of his hidden talent in the picture he painted. It was part of an English project. He has never painted on canvas and did an amazing job. I snapped a picture with my cell phone, told him good job and sent him to bed.

David is only 16 years old but because he is so tall we forget he is still just 16. He usually can get himself out of trouble because he makes us laugh. He usually admits when he did something wrong, so that is another way he gets himself out of trouble.

He loves to play with Ruca and as you can see she loves him too. So those days when we want to put the boy on restriction or just get frustrated with his mumbling. It is good to have these pictures to remember why we love him and that he is such a good kid.
What a terrific young man! It's so wonderful to watch these children of our grow up. It happens so fast, and you're right you can sometimes forget that they really are still kids. It's one of the things I love about teenagers--one foot in childhood, one foot in adulthood. It IS good to have these photos to keep these fleeting moments with us! :D
ReplyDeleteHe is quite the artist!! Yah David!
ReplyDeleteOr should I say Da-casso:)
